Every thing started out ok .42 a mile, for first week.... then I was assigned a truck freightliner 05 with 400,000 and something miles on it. picked up first load broke down on the way. hose broke, got that fixed. Then picked up load to bring to Miami, fl . well on the way down it was running hot so checked fuilds and refilled. Got to miami and they werenot ready to unload me so stayed at truck stop turned off truck for the night. started it up in the morning truck over heated water pump went. In a hotel now getting truck fixed again. Delivered load and headed up to GA new load ... truck over heated again turns out another hose blew. also had electrical problems too so they sent me to terminal to check out truck. sat there for few days. then went out to pick up load again ... now every load I was on i broke down...I have been with company since jan 08 til last week only made $2400 in 3 months never went home during that time either. I picked up last load in tn and was heading to NJ on 81 at 77 mm the clutch started smoking I pulled over called break down they said run till it would run no more cuz no one could pick up load from me. I communicated this on QC to cover my butt. I got to 278 mm on 81 and I had to pull over fumes were making me sick. They took truck to dealership and WS said that it wasnt that bad but Freight.. said yes it was. this went on for 4 days over weekend.... on monday wife calls says we got 24 eviction notice due to not paying mortage.. I needed to get home asap.I was 300 miles away on 81. called dispatch they said no problem but I would have to pay $1 a mile in next check for miles to go home. I got home borrowed money from mother in law and called back WS week later. They said they will not rehire due to risks due to all the breakdowns..!!!! :biggrin_2551: now who can I work for!!!! only been driving 19 months and has 1 ticket for 5mph over. I call USxpress who said I could come back any time before now they won't hire me back either any one got any ideas????

It sounds like that company really sucks.I think its very crazy to really have a person as a dispatcher who has never driven a truck but think they know what a trucker is going through out on the road.

I worked for them several years ago and I too know their misdeeds of canceling your medical insurance.I was on the road ended up sick and in hospital.Thay got the frist bill from the hospital then canceled my insurance and terminated me that same day.Thay do this too keep their medical insurance premium to a minimum. But what good is it is thay can cancel it when you are the one paying for it to begin with .Would never even think of going back to this company. No bad deed goes unpunished.

Notice he hasn't posted again! He he he... maybe he learned the hard way that it sometimes takes longer than 3 months to get some "good shaft!"

    Hope he's ok now.
