I see. Even so, thats a bad plan. A better plan would be to go to WE and hammer it out for a year. It would do wonders for your resume.

Figure out where the majority draw the line, and plan on being tougher. IfIf you go to WE, go flatbed...the flatbedding, even at the bottom of the barrel companies is worlds more tolerable. If you jump ship with WE singing your praises, more doors will be opened.

Btw, this looks like @Chinatown territory.

    Luck in battle.

Thanks yeah... I've been turned away from allot if the local carriers around here and I had to settle for a bus driving job that I have right now.

I really don't know what to do because I filled out the application and then quickly had a chat on the phone with WE and next thing you know I have a bus ticket.

That should have been your first indication something wasn't quite right. Did you disclose your record? All of it? Here's a tidbit of info to chew over. A recruiters job is to get your butt there...whatever happens after that is out of their hands. Most companies don't pull your reports until you're actually there and if they don't like what they see, they'll boot you right out the door to get home however you can. Protect yourself and your interests because they'll most assuredly protect theirs.

That's exactly what I asked this guy. " ARE I WONT BE TURNED AWAY ONCE THERE " he said only if I fail a drug test.

That's the #### that scares me... " Not the drug test " seems like they didn't even take the time to look at my criminal record. Not that it's anything crazy but I do have a felony...

There's a company guru here...Name's Chinatown. TripleSix and I both tagged him in this thread, he'll be along. When he show's up, listen. His word is the Gold Plated Gospel. And hang in there, when you get hired, and you will somewhere, you're going to have to gut out a year. Once you do that, wreck and ticket free, all kinds of doors will open up.

Many companies don't care if you have a criminal record as long as you are truthful on the job application. Western Express is one of them. PI&I Motor Express even recruits and has a deal with some cdl schools to hire students that were just released from prison. You have several choices of companies. PI&I Motor Express is Teamsters Union and you're vested for a pension after 5 years. You have plenty of companies to choose from.

TransAm hires felons, if you want to pull reefers. Stay away from any lease/purchase offers with any company.

The company I am with, Britton Transport, hires on a case by case basis and has hired a drtiver or two with felonies. But, I don't think You are in the hiring area. The felony shouldn't keep you out of a truck forever. Like others have advised, just be honest. Don't try to fib about it to get in the door. Any company will find out. They will terminate you for lying in the application process. And that is when negative comments will tarnish your DAC.
