the lease started in May 2014. I was there and at time any company driver wanting to do the program had to leave for awhile and then go back thru hiring process..my trainer had wanted to do the lease and the day after I got off his truck (June 1, 2014), he left and then came back a month later (july 2014) to do lease purchase. to this day I still get text and email of them wanting me to come back to drive for them

lmao. the program came out in may 2014. pissed some drivers off that wanted to go from company driver to lease due to were told had to leave and then reapply as a new hired driver again to go into the lease program. one of those drivers was the trainer i had when I first started there..he left in June and then came back in July and they lease purchased him the truck that he was assigned to when he was a company driver trainer. I been gone away from there since July 31, 2014 and they still text or send me email wanting me to come back and most the messages they send me are for either company dry van or lease purchase for dry van. I just might do it since I'm not driving any where at the moment And I never had any bad experience while I was there.

are you still driving for western after got the title? did you do dry van or flatbed? I was there in may 2014 when they started the program. I left July 31, 2014. I live in NC and they had me running out of the terrible Nazareth PA terminal the whole time I was with them...I saw the north east more than cared to.

I couldn't have said it any better! I am still on their L/P program and they are wanting me to head to the terminal to speak with Joe Horn about me not running like a company driver and turning down #### near all the loads they send me. The truck is 75,000 and my recurring charges including the lease comes to about 630.00 and I'm cool with that at least I wouldn't be running my life away having to pay #### near 1 ,000 a week for a truck I don't want! But this company really does suck!

I wanted to give an update on this thread despite it being almost a few years old. I applied for my authority in september of 2018 and was up and running the following month. I am still in my 2011 cascadia that I acquired from the Western lease program. I have no clue what the program is like or if it's even around anymore. I run both dry and reefer trailers out of Ohio. My company is debt free as well as my equipment. I couldnt be happier. The truck currently has 832k on the clock and still going strong. Make a plan and work your plan .
