Forced dispatch makes you an employee, not a contractor by law.

how many times must it be said, "stay away from fleece deals", and "only the company wins".
oh sure, when this suit gets settled, the current and/or former lease operators will get "some compensation" not 100% as the law firm takes thier commission as well.
then all W/E has to do is make a change or two to operations and contracts and deals, and it's off to the races again.
but some guys have it stuck in thier head, they wanna be thier own boss.
the only true way to be your own boss is to buy a truck outright with a bank loan or cash, and work with a brokerage house. or being one's own broker.
but no one listens, as everyone "has had enough, of working for the man"....
ooookay...........
round 2...ding...ding...Texas_hwy_287, Frank Speak, sevenmph and 9 others Thank this. -
Combined with the trial of swift later this year under the same thing..this will change the fleece deals in my opinion to where these drivers will be able to leave with the trucks as long as they have a payment options set up because like the judge stated in the swift case when he ordered swift to go to trial was this. .if these drivers can't leave with the trucks as so called independent contractors then that by law makes them employees ...we'll see where this one goes too
IluvCATS, poppapump1332, mjd4277 and 3 others Thank this. -
