It's not half as bad as I had imagined tbh. I've had one week in the red so far. But it was my first week and I only had one load and they forgot to calculate my empty miles in on the load. They put them on the following week and it's been good since.
I have the ability to pick my own loads which I really enjoy. We use Ch. Robinson's load boards and Coyote Logistics as well.
The Kenworth is running great and it's getting decent fuel mileage. Due for a PM in about 15,000.

That's sounds about like my first week there. Very disorganized in the Nashville yard for sure. I avoid going there at all costs! Tbh I haven't been back since orientation, and I'd like to keep it that way. One thing I can say is I find it's better to book your own loads through CHRW then have the dispatcher send you a lot of pre plans that have 400+ deadhead miles just to pick up a load. Best of luck too ya. Hopefully see ya out there!

I really wish you nothing but the best brother. Been kind of busy the last couple of days interesting week. I'm going to start a completely new thread on this whole thing but want to get a couple of weeks to give a real accurate picture. Be safe man
UpstateFreight Thanks this. -
You got a quality truvk from celadon, now ask yourself this question. Why do you have 4 insurance companies covering the samething and paying all 4 weekly?
You should only have one bobtail insurance but look at all your paperwork quality had you sign.
Western express bob tail insurance, quality Bob tail insurance, celadon Bob tail insurance, and the people who actually own your truck cause quality, celadon, nor western are on the title of that truck.
Don't believe get out all the paperwork from quality.
It will tell you who the actual owner is.
Just remember when it sounds too good to be true its because it is. -
I called it is CPM just depends how long the run is anything over 400 miles is .95 cents a mile. There is no load boards from what she told me it's all dispatchers. This is for dry van so at this point I think it's just a other misleading recruiting tactic -
If you get a truck from Quality it's 70% of the load and you can book your own loads through CH Robinson if you choose to. If you lease from Western directly, it's all dispatchers and yes it is a sliding pay scale.poppapump1332 Thanks this.

No problem brother. Ask for Keenan, he is in charge of O/O recruiting. Really nice fella, he'll give you the run down.
-
True,If you get a truck through quality and run the van division it's 70% of load and you can run the load board
