Im a trainer for western and been driving for them over a year, recently i fell of my load while securing it. i broke my wrist and gone to the emergecy room where they put on a tempory splint and was supose to see a bone surgian. i told my dispatcher to get me back to nashville becaue 1 broken wrist and an internal injury, i still made my deliviery in arkansas. then i was preplaned to pick up the other load going to california. i called dispatch again and reminded him i need back to yard, he say pick it up and he'll find a swap. so we pick it up and wait till tomorrow nothing. so i instruct my student to head back to nashville then dispatch sends a message im going the wrong way. then they charge me for fuel. i get to nashville and go to clinic to do a drug and alchol test and get to see the doctor who reffered my the the orthapedic and urologist for the internal damage. i sat fo 8 days waiting for theses appointment with no instruction or anything. this just goes on and on. im quiting and driving for someone else. (sorry about it being sloppy only have one hand)

It sounds like you let your student drive. Good move.

Sorry about your wrist. I had one when I was eight, and I still remember the pain. But, that was blatently stupid of Western Express to even let you keep moving, whether you had a student or not. I'm no doctor, but to me, the vibration from the truck must have played havoc with your wrist.

you mayhave something on them... This could come into play, even though you had a traine on board.

§ 392.3Ill or fatigued operator. No driver shall operate a commercial motor vehicle, and a motor carrier shall not require or permit a driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle, while the driver's ability or alertness is so impaired, or so likely to become impaired, through fatigue, illness, or any other cause, as to make it unsafe for him/her to begin or continue to operate the commercial motor vehicle. However, in a case of grave emergency where the hazard to occupants of the commercial motor vehicle or other users of the highway would be increased by compliance with this section, the driver may continue to operate the commercial motor vehicle to the nearest place at which that hazard is removed.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Western express is 110% a rogue company period.

I'm pretty sure forcing you to drive or work and not allowing you to seek medical attention is illegal. We might get treated like scumbags and slaves, but #### it, we are still humans!
