JP you are right down the road from Swift. memphis is my home terminal. Schneider has a big terminal in Memphis too.

One of my GF's sons friends worked for Maverick. Loved it! He was home most weekends too.

Rug Trucker I went to Builders Transportation out of Memphis, TN. So far so good. I think I am going to like working for them. It seems cool. They run primarily Midwest and Southeast.

Btc is a very good company. My only criticsm is that safety can be a pain especially if you have an elog truck. You have the choice to go home every weekend. That's what I like the most and you make plenty of money, even if you have an e log truck.

This company is very incentive laden to me. Each driver should average no less than 750 per week even when freight is slow. You can average that and still go home every weekend.

Being a driver for Western Express, I can say this. You do stay out longer than expected or told. Second, and most important....you will sit a lot. I'm in the 11 western fleet and the problem here is they have more drivers than they do freight to haul, AND, even knowing this, they still have a new hire class each week, which doesn't make sense. Their excuse? They have trucks to fill, so they need to keep hiring...but they don't have the freight. On most weekends, I sit. I think what they need to do is put a hire freeze for 11 western division, make better use of the planners making sure freight is planned and pre-planned for the WEEKENDS. That would be a more efficient operation in my opinion.

Swift hires more than they need too. Trainees that bring them government subsidy money, and tax breaks.

You are working for BFI Inc!

    Texzonie Thanks this.
