You know..when a safety dept employee says"I'll pass it on down the line" that usually means the company could care less and the attitudes of their drivers definitely show that to be the case.

AS a current Western Express driver that has a clean record, CSA and is a very good driver, I will say this. I've been an OTR driver with various companies since 2005. I've seen a number a bad driving examples from our own drivers, but in all fairness to bad drivers, I've seen just about any carrier you can name have drivers that exhibit bad/poor/unsafe/reckless/stupid driving. For an example for today...I was e/b on I40 running through New Mexico. Without any warning, turn signal or any indication whatsoever, a Covenant transport driver swerved right in front of me, about 1/2 a cars length in front of me and cut into my lane. No "sorry" over the CB OR flashing lights to let me know he was sorry. Another example today....hmmm, let's tag an O/O shall we. Landstar! Also on I40 today going through Amarillo, TX I was in the right center lane e/b. A Landstar O/O passed me in the hammer lane and cut across the front of my truck to the right and all the way off the ramp! I'm used to that from 4 wheelers, but an 18 wheeler? Come on!
