has anyone here ever worked for western express trucking company in the Houston Tx area? I see they are always hiring not a good sign. But I wanted to see if anyone here could give me some feedback on them? They say they have mostly new equipment?

The reason the are always hiring is because they are a large company, choice of flatbed or van. They do keep mostly new equipment. That's all I can tell you about them.

What is the pay like? Home time?

online application today!
Can't tell you too much; I knew the man that owned the company, but he passed away. His name was Wayne Wise. I remember the home time is worked out with each drivers dispatcher. Don't want to say too much, because don't want to chance giving you inaccurate information. -
seems like since he past away it hasnt been the same

I was told by a recutier once about a year ago that you start at .32cpm for flatbed. The drivers always said they got plenty of miles but you have at that rate!

talked to a WXP Flatbed driver today while waiting to unload. Says he gets 0.22 per mile plus 0.14 per mile perdiem.
