I'm gonna look into WE hopefully I will get a positive outcome as well. I just finished school few days ago so now the journey begins finding a job. Let's see what the WE recruiter says.

Rug,
Nashville would be your home terminal, but you will spend ample time west. Al knows a student who went over there running flat bed right out of school. This guy often comes up to school to chat when he gets back in town, I'm sure you will meet him someday while your out on the yard practicing. -
Birmingham Alabama is the home terminal for the flatbed division. Or at least it was when I was there. Van division used Nashville.
-
There is bunches of flats in the yard here. I see them rolling around the Pilot 4 blocks from W/E.
We are going there Wednesday PM for a field trip. -
"Loves to drive" maybe right, I think they are distpatched out of Birmingham, but I do know there are many Nashville drivers that call the Nashville terminal home.
-
One or 2 guys from the class before me went to W/E. One told me they would drop me on the bus for Birmingham right away!
I think the recruiter might be coming in Thursday.
-
The recruiter (Ronnie) will give you the tour and lunch.
-
LOL Ronnie was the one whom told me "I could call you a cab" and never did. Seems he is far to busy with his own agenda to be that helpful. Mind you he is a recruiter, and recruiters only tell you what you want to hear, not necessary for it to be the truth.

Nashville dispatches flats as well. Birmingham is the main flats terminal but Nashville has its own sets of flat trucks,if you see the flats that have the permanent beacon lights on top, those are the nashville flats. There are a few out of birmingham that have these but most of the ones with the beacon lights are Nashville trucks. All of the oversize air conditioner loads are dispatched out of nashville and they do have a couple of dispatchers in nashville that deal with nothing but flats. They run much better loads out of nashville if you ever get the chance to deal with them.

We are going for a tour of Western's operation now on November 19th.
I am very interested in flats.
