Ok lease purchase let's see 600-700 a week for a truck ok. Let's see 32000-38000 yr just in Truck notes. Then take on base plates, escrow, hometime, and maintenance, fuel, and insurance. So fuel let's say 800-1100 week.41,000-52000 yr. Insurance permits plates road tax 5200 yr. And your company only want to pay 1.15 a mile all in right. In order to make it work you would have to put down 145,000-156,000 miles a year. That's just to clear company driver wages at 50-60k range or less depending on other factors. Now don't get me wrong people go under with paid off equipment as well as those who go to the bank. You can't sugar coat a challenging slim margin business.

I worked there for 13 weeks as a independent contractor then on 8/19 they terminated my contract because I wouldn't run the northeast. Then after they had me clean out the truck at the OKC yard in 115 degree weather with no A/C they wanted me to take a bus home that meant I couldn't get all my stuff on the bus so i had my wife drive down from Iowa to get me at 4:50pm i found out they put a 45 day hold on my last two settlements. I asked them do I need a attorney to get my money they said i wasn't getting paid till my attorney contacted there's. That's a bad way to do people so I'm getting an attorney. By Oklahoma law i was told they had to pay me for all work done on the next pay period that was today 8/20/19.

They used to be all company drivers, and all west coast.
Hence, the name,western flyer express.
Best otr job I ever had at the time.
Run back and forth from Seattle or California,
Back to ok city or dallas. All day long.
Then they started leasing trucks and going to
The northeast.
The leased drivers wouldn't go, because of the tolls.
So they sent all the company drivers up there.
Then we all quit, so now there's nobody left but
The leased drivers to do it.
So much for being able to turn down loads
Leasing a truck with them. -

I quit WFX in november and they owed me over $3000 but they made up false expenses and flasified settlement statements so they didn't have to pay me. I will be pursuing leagal action against them in the near future.
