He posted that he was going to work a while back... has hardly posted since, so he's either running 24/7, like the dispatchers (and the Simms) want you to, or he's broke down somewhere, they won't fix the truck, and he doesn't have internet access...

Good question. Well I've been moving across country. Haven't been on internet much. WFX started out ok. Averaged 3700 miles a week for the first 4 months or so. Not much problem with them bothering me on my time off....most I've worked for did that. When it went bad is when I needed to get to Indy when my Dad got sick. They planned my next home time there and then he got worse so I insisted they get me home. I got a snide remark from one of the dispatch morons about that. My Dad was on his death bed and I'm in the hospital room with him and they start burning up my phone. I went out in the hallway to call them back after they kept calling when I didn't answer. They had an "emergency" run and "nobody else in the area". BS. While I was in the hallway explaining I was in the hospital with Dad, they kept begging me. My wife came out in the hall and said I had to get back in the room. While I was in the hallway dealing with dispatch a holes, my Dad died. Two days later I'm at the funeral home and about to carry my Dad to the hearse, (they knew where I was), they called me again to do that run. Since then the miles have decreased and they are giving me crap runs, low miles, burning my phone up on my off time day and night. They have a 70% turnover rate. I was recently told to take a run, and then grab one and take it home and sit on it for a couple of days for off time. Just before I got home I was called by the dispatch head moron and he wondered why I was out of route. I dropped a trailer and told them if they wanted someone to swap then fine. They burned my phone up on my off time so I finally just made the company ringer silent. They don't care about drivers. Dispatch is ran by a complete idiot. I know who looks at this board from the company, and at this point, I don't care. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and after the issue with my Dad, they can forget me doing them any favors, and yes, my time is done with them. Dispatch tries to bully you on the phone. I will be back in the office soon, and I will have a face to face. Don't waste your time getting abused and lied to by this company. Dispatch plays favorites. They tell you to do just the opposite of what safety says. Scubaghost out.

And.....when they called me at the funeral home I handed the phone to my wife. She told them I was carrying my Dad to the hearse. They said, "Have him call us when he is done". Now what kind of heartless crap is that? The trucks are junk. Some are governed at 68, 70, 72, 75. You make 32 to 37 cpm depending on what truck you have. T2000's run 68 to 70 from what other drivers tell me and pay 32 cpm. I get over 8 mpg in an autoshift cummins and make 37 cpm. $500 pet fee, non refundable. Pets have to stay in truck while on company property. New office and shop has mens restroom only. Womens is in office and locked. They told my wife to use the mens. Drivers lounge is a small room with vending machines, which is also mechanics breakroom. Grease on the only table in the room. No showers. Cleaning people do a great job for the office personnel but don't even touch the driver/mechanic restroom.

Same stuff, different day. Try to run you to death but safety I heard got rid of a couple of drivers for not matching log books to qualcom. Really cracking down. All new trucks coming in will have elog. Hard to understand why they do a lot of things they do. Try to run you on bad tires and waste money elsewhere. Oh well. Another typical large company. Turned most trucks down to 62 to 68 depending on fuel mileage.

You can be happy or miserable anywhere and hear 1000 stories but if they did not happen to you i would let it in one ear and out the other..

Yeah I finally had enough. Took truck back and turned in all stuff related. Tried to make me run an overweight load. One of the girls in the dispatch office said I could keep running and never take a break. Safety said over the phone it was ok to run overweight and then said over the qualcomm that they were not asking me to run illegal. Yes it is what you make of it sometimes. This company plays favorites and even some of the old timers are saying this company has went down hill in the last year. Good luck.
