I have dreams of DOT foods or Gordon (GTI), but right now neither seem to be hiring. So, I am going to be looking at prob. Werner. Kinda wish JB Hunt was hiring in our area for newbs, cause of the terminal in Stockton.

Friday was a soggy day. Stockton needed one of our trucks, & the mechanic didn't fix the brake chamber on the other one we broke. So, I got the pleasure of fighting with an old Volvo that turned sharper to the left than right, clutch stuck about 15 inches out farther than the gas & brake, everything inside rattles, & could not see the rear dualls in ANY of the mirrors. So I fought that dammed thing in my AM class around the yard. More alley docking, & Paralell parking as well as now a measured right hand turn (need to make a 90 degree right hand turn & get the trailer within 18 inches of the curb or cone).....so needless to say I hit my 1st cone....& then about a dozen more. I got pretty good with the truck by the end, but I really do dislike that thing.

Evening class we got one of our other trucks back, & I was a happy camper...though I only made about 1 in 4 alley docks the 1st time, but never needed more than 1 pull up. I figured out what I was doing wrong with the paralell parking, & now get it pretty darned good. Also it started raining pretty good, & using a wet mirror added to the dificulty for me, especially being at night time....possibly why I was having a harder time alley docking. I got a compliment from my instructoer, who told another one that if I had my pretrip a little better, I could pass the DMV test. Made me feel pretty good.
