No matter how you approach it, it's ugly! There is a terminal junction on the engine side of the firewall you can remove, but that's usually to get at theback of the motor, and sounds like you got that already. I actually made an access hole over on the driver side, to be able to spray lube the pivot. Thatworked, temporarily, but in the end I took it to WS and had them replace the whole thing. They initially told me it would be a couple hours, ended up taking them all day, but after haggling a bit, they stood by the initial quote. Good luck!
