yes we do go to budweiser plant in columbus not a whole lot but we do. We also go to the saddle creek warehouse in Atlanta on the southwest side which is a delmonte warehouse. We take canned goods in there from the midwest and dog food from new york down there.

The "no NYC" rule...if you choose not to drive into NYC do you suffer for it as a driver? Or do they T-Call (sorry...that's a Swift term I hope tranlates to Millis) a lot of those loads to drivers who regularly go into NYC?

Also...coming out of MTI what is your starting cents per mile?

Thanks Spanky. How many weeks do you stay out at a time? I was 2-3 wks out and then hometime when I drove.

OTR drivers I believe is 14 days minimum (could be wrong). Other than that, I stay out 3-4 weeks (by choice). Note: it would be crazy anyway since you're not getting paid, but you can't bank your off days to take a week or two off.

Is the cost of school $2500 or $5000? I will need a refresher and 2500 isn't bad but if it's 5K...that's a different story. Do they take it out of your paychecks at so much per week? How long to pay it back?

I appreciate you all answering questions. I am just finishing radiation for thyroid cancer and cannot talk otherwise I would be getting these answers from a recruiter.

I'm otr and i go home every other weekend no matter what i also farm so i have to get home so that often to take care of that stuff. There are times i go home every weekend during certain times of the year. Usually i am home Thursday night or Friday morning by 9 oclock.

Thanks Spanky. I live near Chattanooga so I would often run "through the house" because of the busyness of I75 and I24 even if it was just for the night. Sounds like with the Cartersville terminal I might see that happen pretty often with Millis as well.

I'm okay to be out two or three weeks but I never liked being gone much more than 3.

The classroom training is $2500 and the time out with your trainer is $2500, total $5000. The classroom portion you pay $500 down to reserve your seat, the remaining $2k is taken out of your paycheck $20 per week. Total of 20 months I believe.

The $2500 for time out with your trainer is written off if you stay with the company for 1 year. Nothing is taken out of your check for this. If you leave the company before 1 year you will owe the balance. Millis' way of making sure you are serious and dedicated to your decision I believe.
