If the EOBR is killing your financial gain, you're driving for the wrong outfit. I never come anywhere close to ever needing a 34hr reset, yet I make more driving a feeder than most will driving OTR with a company. I'm not boasting by any means, but saying that there are other options out there. You don't have to drive OTR. You don't have to work like a slave either.

I deal with enough folks that expect a driver to through a fit.

Friday I asked then guy if he'd feel better if I started to flail my arms, ranting and spitting and cussinG'.

He just laughed and said nah, it's been his pleasure.

Told him I hoped his weekend got better.

You attitude starts with them guy in the mirror.

I can't control anyone but myself. Why fuss over it.

who said you HAD to get a TWIC card? and why was it $450?

Twic cards were originally for getting into ports as required by Home Land Security. I don't remember what I paid for mine and my wifes but I do know a background check and finger prints were required.

Some ports require an escort for you if you don't have a twic card but they charge a pretty good fee for the service.

As far as trucking changing in the last 10 years. I got in trucking in 2002 and started as an owner/operator with my own authority so I have no company driver experience.

The main things I see that have changed are the regulations. Especially the hours of service changes. Can't stop the clock to eat or take a rest brake, etc.

Also the CSA score thing has become a problem for some. It has not for me yet but all it takes is one bad inspection to change everything.

I have found that whether I enjoy my work or not or life for that matter has more to do with my own outlook than it has to do with my surroundings.

I'm NOT going to argue or debate this. I have the paper work to back my facts, like I said if your ever here when I am I will be more than happy to show you in person. And if you still doubt me, I know 17 other drivers that got theirs from the exact same place for the exact same price, and I'm pretty sure most of them can prove it too.

I said its going to kill the cash flow in MY little piece of the trucking world. If all i did was ride up and down the road without the 4-5 hr loading times and the 2-6 hr tank washes or the two hr wait for the lab to aprove the product the OBER's wouldn't bother me either. I realize there are several different options, but I'm tires of changig to suit some collage educated "expert" telling me that after 2 yrs of working out the mess he has created with his higher educated rules, he's got some new rules to make me wrong again, OK I give up I'm wrong I quit you win.
