I am starving as we speak(yes)...

But i am a MAN WITH SOME INTEGRITY..I refuse to bow down to this ''slave wage''...I just flat out refuse to work 100 hours a week, gone all week away from my loved ones for a ''slave'' wage....

But dont worry someone ''WILL DO IT''..There will be a ''desperate'' driver that will take the job....LMAO

Well I just hope you don't have to get to the point where you finally understand the rest of us. No one WANTS to be a scab. It's not like we're actively bidding down freight. It is what it is and it's going to get where it's going. You're either in a position to turn it down or not. I still say it's theoretically better to run, even if you're not covering maintenance and replacement because if not you'll have to use your savings to live, and if it takes a while to recover, you won't be able to maintain or replace when the time comes anyway. You have to believe that freight will recover though.

Well, my hope is that they are laying off because there has already been less to ship, and they have a lot of people standing around. But, if they are going to start producing even less because of the layoffs, we're all screwed.

well on the news yesterday they said ( steel mill name ) can't remember the name but it was a big company, that they shut down to 50% of what they were doing and the CEO said America needs to wake up that we are no longer in a recession we are in a depression.
