what antenna should i get

OR, there's a guy on here pushing Stryker products that I'm sure is going to chime in and say the Stryker Antenna is the best on the market...lol

 

I don't know, didn't you get the other one figured out yet?

I just bought a Wilson 5000 roof mount. I looked at the Sirio and after considering it all I decided it was too long and not as nice looking as the Wilson. I've run Wilson 1000s for 20 years or so. This new one looks O.K., but many say they are junk. We'll see.

 

I've been running a couple of Wilson mag mounts for a few years now with fine performance and no problems. One is a 55-inch 500 for a Mazda, and the other a 62-inch 1000 for an F250. Both tuned very well and talk up a storm.

I also didn't want an antenna the length of the Sirio. Even though a few extra inches will yield some additional gain, I still gotta live with my sense of proportion on a vehicle and accommodate the trees and wires I run under. The Sirio didn't fit the bill in my case.

 

Sirio's are a little taller....but...."Height is Might!".............personally, I'm a Predator 10K person myself.

 

Sirio is about 1ft taller than the Wilson if memory serves. How long is your 10K?

 

Depends on which one....the Original Single coil 10K is about 7'
