Ummm.... OHTW? There is a Class C CDL in California and in all states. I had to get one when I worked for Lincare driving oxygen and medical supplies around in those big Ford vans. I had to get a hazmat endorsement and a Class C CDL.

and you can have a Commercial Class C in CA, so you can obtain a tank endorsement and hazmat to haul a diesel tank in the back of your F350, or drive a fedex minivan, with hazmat. To put an endorsement on any license, it has to be a CDL.

But yes, I do see on some random forms that ask for "CDL #" lol...I agree, the term CDL should be recognized by everyone for what it is.

Nope!! Motorcycle is actually an endorsement you can get on a regular Class C. There is a Non-CDL and a CDL Class C in NC too.

Yes, but it is not classified as an endorsement in CA, its a separate license class. You get a Class C M1, or Class A M1. Not like an endorsement, where it says Class A, then UNDERNEATH instead of BESIDE, it says ENDORS: (insert corresponding letters)

That's one of those things that people say when they don't really know what they are talking about, and they don't know that they don't know what they're talking about.
