Good day all. I'm curious about what a haptic critical event means?

I'm guessing some safety system felt the truck experienced some instability.

    Maybe coasting caused the trigger?

Schneider? We get haptic collision avoidance events when the truck senses you’re about to hit something. More often than not it’s the shadow of a bridge, or construction barrel or other such false alarm. At least at Schneider, they know it’s a bogus event and it doesn’t get reported to your DTL or show up in your safety metrics. Safety can see them but they don’t do anything with them.

Apparently it's a catch all event.
Such as sitting duck; pulling off to shoulder.
Major lane departures going off the road, not using indicators. Entering the exit across double lines
Objects in road where camera sees something but radar doesn't. And every thing else you stated.

IMO, that's not possible. Trucks and qualcomm's call that Out of Gear or OOG. It measures time where you are not in any gear, by placing shifter into neutral or by holding the clutch pedal in. Back in the day it was called "Georgia overdrive." Anyone with a Qualcomm can go into the maintenance screens, I forget what they call that page, and see your idling percentage, time overspeed, time with excessive speed, time out of gear, and several other things. I would google your truck manufacturer, and haptic critical event. I'm thinking it might refer to the truck stability system noticing something like braking hard while turning, drive tires slipping while cornering, or a hard steering input. I'm just guessing.
