Sad state of affairs in the industry when a driver has to worry about such little bs

Actually, you are not wrong! Be very careful do a good job and be prepared for drivers to be put on the chopping block.

I've only become worried just within the past month or two. I have a few years of experience after leaving my previous job after nearly three years I got on with a much higher rate of pay with better loads and customers. Been with the new carrier for several months and heard some startling news regarding the years 2023-25
I will not get into it.

So potential future events are now classified as 'news'?

You really should get into it, just to get the gossip wagon rolling.

Absolutely. Creditable redacted statements, Forecasts, trade trends, current affairs and future (planned) actions is news. I'm not going to talk about it. I don't have all of the details. just carry on as you are. No need to waste any of your time on "speculations".

Wait recession or automation? Because those are two completely different concerns. Honestly the recession will be godawful. I’m leaving now while I still can.
