The only thing about Western Express is this talk of them taking money out of checks and slandering your DAC when you decide to leave but guessing there's something missing from these sort of stories. I've seen them around. Nice trucks and trailers.
What are my options?

It would take them all of 5 minutes to change out a camera the 1st time they notice that they can't see you scratching your backside clearly. A few times of this and they'll just fire you.
How about the microphone... how would you stop that? That's probably worse. -
Sonic gun. You can't hear it if it's pointed away from you. If you want a private phone call; turn it on pointed at the microphone and sit in the sleeper and make your phone call.
Google: Sonic guns. Prices run from around $20.00 to over $40K.bottomdumpin Thanks this. -
Not really. They claim to only be activated during critical events. If they call you out on it they will expose themselves.bottomdumpin and Chinatown Thank this.

They would be listening to 24/7 death metal.

Maybe a piece of computer privacy screen. Some people claim that also keeps traffic cameras from being able to see license plate number.

Your challenge will be staying with that company, whichever one you pick, for a year if you can. Beside the letters, there is a lot of difference between CDL and OTR. Nobody is really prepared for it, no matter what you did before or who you know.
Stick with it. Don't get wrapped around the axle in driver's lounges. Sit back, pay attention, slow down, and enjoy this. Not everybody can do it; hopefully, you're one that can.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
I don't know about listening devices (though it's credible, considering their size) but I did work for Western. It took some adjustment (most of it related to flatbedding, which didn't work for me) but once I figured out the game, I was treated fairly well and made some good money. I didn't listen to the naysayers, did my job, and got rewarded.Chinatown Thanks this.

I was on a dollar dedicated with Werner. After that became a super suck fest, I went 48 2 weeks ago.
Once we got situated, I haven't stopped running. I've put over 5k miles on my truck. Right now I'm sitting in WI doing a reset. Not either of our choosing. Load don't deliver until Monday morning. Slim pickings due to weather. At least once I deliver, I can get moving 35 cpm. Decent fm. It is what it is
