I agree, I have Mr and Mrs S&W .40 riding along with me... Although from Chicago I have an Indiana CDL along with a CCW permit... I park in the back of truck stops to get a little extra excerice along with the piece and quite...Im not interested in stank lizzards or sweaty crack heads trying to rob my pockets... There isnt nor has never been a federal law prohibiting truckers to carry a fire arm... Dont bother me and I can gurantee you wont bother me... AMEN

Is there any type of weapons you can carry in your truck to protect yourself legally?

"search" feature here works great!!! Lots of talk on this topic already. Let your conscience be your guide with regard to what you carry and how seriously you take responsibility for the safety of yourself and your family. As with everything else in life.............your wits and the knowledge base you accrue as you travel through life are the single most potent weapons you posess.

I'll put my Mother-In-Laws picture on t-shirt and send it to ya. Wear it around the parking lot and you'll think the planet was deserted.

Keep in mind, when it comes to weapons, the bad guy will usually have the advantage of surprise and will be too close, too you for much of a defensive reaction.
