All I know is what I'm told typically by drivers complaining about something. What seems like every week all the time driver after driver

The brokers aren't lying when they say what something pays if you or whoever books it for that. There's a choice, accept it or not. Then maybe it changes or somebody else thinks it's good enough. Broker is always going to try and sucker you into "that's what it pays" because more often than not that's what will book it. A lot of dummies out here don't even ask for anything other than just begging the broker for what he can pay. That's your level of competition. Rates being low is what it is. Everytime I've seen a story of somebody getting ripped off by fraudsters, double brokers or whatever it's always a case of they walked right into that eyes wide shut. The red flags are always there but people choose to ignore. In the years I was running spot freight I never booked with a fraudulent broker but I saw a bunch of em.Constant Learner, Old_n_gray, Long FLD and 2 others Thank this.

Yeah basically Michael here agreed to a load didn't confirm the price. Complained about it after, said they were stealing from him, undermined the broker or whatever he did hualed the load without the broker fee or perhaps because it was the new year 1/5/24 broker didn't care said whatever annoying driver have $400 go home, complain about your rates as usual lolol

I asked the driver Michael to clarify what exactly happened. He said that the broker or the freight agent of the broker posted on the load board for $3,000 to the carrier. Thats why he even inquired on the load to begin with in terrible market, plus trying to get home. Then when broker/agent gave the rateCon, it was $400 short. Rather than the broker posting it for $2,600 on the board, they posted it for $3,000
so at the end of the day let’s say right here I told all you guys. I have a load pays you $3,000, you say cool send the rate-con and then I give you the rateCon $400 short $2600 and you’re all like hell no, $3000 or find someone else
Basically it’s just technology load board bs, plus the load board lets anybody just do whatever they want.. as long as they pay their membership fee…load-boards like government don’t care about double brokering or anything like that, they make money off the filing fees, subscriptions, and so on. if they did, we wouldn’t hear anything of it ever
and then they co-brokered the load legally and then the broker gave it to him for $3000GR8 Thanks this. -
