I go to Walmart and buy Herman Survivors steel toes.
    They are comfortable and waterproof.
I've been wearing them going on three years in some of the worst northern NYS weather and in slop that no boot should hold up in.
They are lace up except for the last three that are speed laces.
Never had a problem on the aluminum deck on the trailer or at fuel pumps.
I would rate them as poor on ice though but what boots aren't ?
At around 50. a pair if I buy a pair every 3-4 years at 9-12 years I will have invested maybe 250. And in 2-4 years I probably won't be driving or at least not flat bed, being I'm 65 now and had a descending aorta artery replaced.
