What brand of oil do you run?

delvac works for me. I don't buy just any filter though, only CAT

 

Marathon 15-40 from local jobber. I get 55 gal. drum, also use lucas and only wix filters.

 

Mystic JT-8 15w50 in my old dog. Has some minor leaks and gets warm under a hard pull which dropped the pressure till I went Mystic.

My OCI is 10k because of severe abuse. Run Wix on the oil / fuel and anybody on the air. I do air about every 70 days +/-.

Syn blends in the boxes, 50w tranny and 75 /90 rears. Dump once a year.

Delo and a gal of Lucas every pm, if I don't idle for days at a time no need to add any oil before next oil change every 12k -13k miles.

All my engine is CAT, it had Delvac in it, but ran rougher than... Yup, put your head in the gutter.
I usually get Shell Rotella, once it's in I don't change brands until a PM.

That Mystik JT-8 is a darn good oil. I have used the 15w40 syn blend version in my last truck and that oil really looked good on oil samples at 25,000. Plus it was pretty reasonable price. Last time I bought some in July, it was $58 for a 5 gallon pail at my local farm and home store.

 

even walmart don't sell that cheap.

what local farm and home store. is that something i have to drive out to the sticks for?

only thing i know around here that would even be considered like that would be IFA.
