What Can be said About Swift

I typed this out back then. Not sure if things have changed since march.

They are all the same, Ive been around. No idiot even though many looking to gain trolling fame will claim me on taxes. Swift will give you a job, the rest is all you. You #### up, guess what you are a #### up. Simple life.

 

Go Swift if you have no better options. You've been warned.

Swift not bad. Keep your nose clean. If you dont like or get along with trainer... get a new one. Once you learn swift way of doing things it gets easier. I stayed with swift for 2.5 yrs before leaving the industry. Just keep a good attitude.

 

All the bad press, when Swift is easy to deal with.
If you have a decent DM that is.

Once you learn the system you can work it whichever way you want - to get the most miles or to take it easy on your own time.
For the 'most part' on both counts, because there are always exceptions.

There is no forced dispatch, there is leeway that you can take advantage of.
If you want to run hard all the time you can do that as well. Burn your hours, take a 34, then burn more.

How good (or productive) a driver you become is entirely up to you, but Swift won't be the problem if you fall short.
(DM's not included in that statement. There are some bad ones out there that simply can not be dealt with - like any company. And just like with mentors.)
But if that is the case you can usually go the the FM and get reassigned to a different person.

I've been here over 6 years now. How often do you hear me complaining?
Why?
Because I am treated right by all the people around me.
Because I can control how I run my loads with no questions asked.

But you have to take control in the first place.
Learn the system.
Like with anything, knowing how things actually work is your greatest advantage.
