I clearly stated my point in the post,it's right there, you quoted it. You know,it starts with "The point is.........".
Why do I have to explain the post where I explained the previous post?
I am probably going to have to explain this post as well to you, right?

It is a real head ache to even think of how few miles a man would e able to log if you log
all hours to the HOS rules. I think of all the 19 hour days I have put in, thank god for loose leaf log books. I also use PC miler to ensure my book will stand up to any DOT inspection. And yes there are days you have to run more than 750 miles to make the delivery on time. I was actually running 4000 miles per week and then barely able to show 34 hour break to reset my hours. So if you want to drive like your retired get a city day cab job lumping freight on and off the trailer. Other wise get it in gear and thrash that log book.. Happy trails... -
One thing I would change is to not allow these "Big Truck Companies" to get federal subsidies for new students to their driving schools and then have the nerve to still charge tution or worst yet lock them into ridiculous contracts when the pay is criminal (.29cpm) for a yr? Wow! Or how about this one lease ops paying .90cpm and giving these guys just enough miles to make the companies truck payments. How criminal is that? I have a laundry list however things have been pretty well covered in this forum already. Drive safe everybody!

the only thing i have to say about governed trucks is maybe for the people that are fresh out of school need to be governed for the first 3 years or so until they get used to the size and capabilities of the truck they are in,but for those with experience and a clean record i say let them ride, let them go the speed limit whether they are in ohio or out west, they have put in their time and have proven themselves with a clean record. slow trucks are DANGEROUS for the motoring public and to the driver.....if i cant pass somebody every now and then i get sleepy.

im still wondering why in this day off technology we still get paid zip code to zip code instead of address to address? also how is it legal for a company to bill practical miles, but pay the driver on shortest miles.

less regulation overall.
