"What would have caused this"?
One trip through Indianapolis on I-70. Or one trip into Michigan on I-75.

In a couple pics it almost looks like a chunk of tread got ripped out and went unnoticed for some time.
In any case, have your suspension and alignment checked right after you change the tires and fix that too if need be. -

These Roads are a Truck Killler
And Unfortunately- The Rubber Compounds are so soft these days ya knoe "Go Green" BS. Why guys can onlky get 100k or so outta them.......
When Radials came out for semi's ..they were a good hard ruibber compound- Get 2 years and didn't Feather out or cup like these tires do now.Intothesunset Thanks this. -

What brand and model are those tires?

I purchased the truck with them on and ashamed to say it’s not name brand most likely Chinese knock offs.

Driving in i80 Indiana will do that to any tires.
