You escalated already a road raging driver by coming at him on the radio. He's already raging and that little straw broke his camel's back. People like that demonstrating that kind of behavior with the vehicles are best left alone. Here in Arkansas we have alot of road raging. Espeically when someone stands up for themselves on principal with the other vehicle. Next thing you see is both vehicles raging at each other. The last time that happened, 4 people in a unrelated car was killed when a rager crossed the center yellow near Conway too busy raging at someone behind him. As a licensed concealed carry, I just let it go. The rager probably calls me a thousand names as if I am a weak sheep in his or her anger. The problem is if I say something to that one and it escalates to a shooting by myself.. guess what. Im the one sitting in the corrections. It is far better to have the video camera rolling on the dash and if I get attacked out of nowhere by the rager then I will be not worried about the resulting castle doctrine problem. There is no Code you think of. Has not been for decades. This moving over business started getting really common in the last 10 year so so because people do not understand theses cars already in the travel lane right or left on a two lane interstate vs a car coming on from the ramp to the far right do not need to yield. It creates more of a problem to do anything. You did what you did. Just leave that radio alone. Say it to the trees if you have to get it out of your system. But don't go grabbing the tail of a enraged tiger who will cut you to ribbons with claws... follow me? It's a traffic conflict that should resolve in a few moments. Not be escalated into something much more serious where you might be arrested, killed, hurt or something else happen to a third party who happened to be in a wrong place wrong time. I think of two teens in texas in a black Maita convertable who shoved themselves past me and my FFE 18 wheeler on the flyover from 35N to 30 West between Dallas and Ft Worth one night where it makes a sort of a S in the middle of the ramp high over the ground. What should have happened was I hold my ground, trailer decapitates both of them and car gets wedged under it. But no. Im not in a mood to sit in a texas huntsville jail so I made room for them. Still got a massive middle finger from them for thanks that night. It's been 18 years since the summer of 2000 that they did that on a friday night. I hope they have had the good life so far that I have managed to give to them, the ungrateful idiots.
You changed lanes. Never change lanes or adjust your speed to allow merging traffic to merge. Hold your lane and your speed. Merging traffic is responsible for adjusting their speed in order to merge safely.
True ,and there's no law that says I have to but I figure big trucks have a hard enough time getting the space they need . I am thankful when drivers do it for me
No good deed goes unpunished. You moved over to allow him to merge on with ease. Then when you wanted back in your original lane, he didn’t want that.
100' is too close to be cutting off a semi. Takes a semi 300 yards to stop fully loaded, more if empty and more in bad conditions. Maybe he felt you were getting to close to him. Only thing I can think of.
I'm calling ########, I find it absolutely hard to believe you was able to get him on the radio To your original question, no I dont think you did anything wrong
Sounds like you did fine...he probably just found out his old lady ran off with his best friend and took his dog and RV with them. And as far as not escalating the situation....ummm no! To many snowflakes out there think it's ok to flip someone off as they are running away. It may not be the smartest thing to do but I get a little entertainment out of watching idiots that are already mad getting slobbering on themselves and purple faced P O'ed with my help!! May not be the smartest thing....but I've survived this long and don't plan on changing!!!
