just child support can tear you a new hole lol.
I have my oldest daughter with my ex wife, I will need to start paying child support again here soon, I was originally paying for my previous pay which was higher, since im on the road now I cant say I have her 50% of the time so even though im making half the money I probably will still have to pay her more....I dont mind taking care of my kids, only thing I hate about that woman is that she lives with her parents who are rich and pays for everything, she just uses the money to party and spite me.

I for one cant say I love or hate Swift yet, im too new to the company to decide, however I share my personal experience and help people when and if I can.

Car salesman, Restaurant Manager, Photographer (still do this), bunch of crap jobs in between.

Got into trucking cause I had family that did it and was influenced by another sales friend. When it would get slow at the dealership we would sit down and look at JB Hunt brochures talking about living on the road. I was having issues with the sales lifestyle which in my area was sale 1-2 units some days go spend the spiff or commission that same night at the clubs, it was fun though just needed to get away from the danger it got me into being a young punk.

I guess it worked if your trucking for 16 years now. I heard a good car salesman makes decent money though.
I was there, I partied every single night and spent over half my pay per month drinking and smoking pot, met my ex wife and got away from it all. I now drink a beer a month maybe and I havent touched other stuff in 7 years.

Security guard, dishwasher, waiter, bartender, computer tech, delivery boy (twice).
Not exactly in that order, but close.

I went into trucking because I have an affinity for the open road.
Not before because I was usually married.
I couldn't do OTR if I were married.

And as little as I make, and as little as I get home time - I am, for the first time, able to keep up with child support payments as well as seeing all my children more often.

I wanted to do it several years ago and my ex wife wouldnt let me due to jealousy etc
My current wife was supportive when I talked to her grandfather who is a retired truck driver about wanting to do it since I was little, she said go for it so I planned for a couple months, checked reviews from lots of companies, found this forum and browsed it for over a month before finally joining. I moved my family to a better location since I wouldnt be home and I went for the plunge. I am happy I did it, I enjoy the open road and I HOPE I enjoy it with Swift for the time being but either way I finally did it and here I am today.

Air traffic controller. Retired from the federal govenment after 29 years. Worked for a contractor (as a controller). After 3 years I hated the job I once loved and want to kill my manager, so I quit.
