what do in cab camera look at?

Driver facing cam would show that the driver was not at fault if other party tries to say driver was distracted, texting or fell asleep etc.

I was very conscious of it when I first started, but now I don't even think about it. If someone wants to watch me get undressed, go for it. Maybe they will upload the footage and I will become an internet sensation.

Or maybe they just won't care as they have seen thousands of other drivers doing the same.

 

Its no wonder these companies are having a hard time keeping drivers.

 

Not only can they watch you, anyone with the right equipment can watch you has will. The signal can be hacked between the camera and the receiver. The equipment isn't legal in the USA but can be ordered online. You can drive by a truck stop or just go on down the road and tell how many trucks have cameras.

 

It's not a CYA as much as it is a cut your losses before they happen. Bad drivers with bad habits are quickly weeded out.

 

If you do it right, the only thing the camera can see that is pointed at the driver is the back of the electrical tape that is covering the lens.

There is the answer to the question "why are we seeing more and more driver facing cameras". However in this case, even the camera was ineffective.
