    Must have been the very old and broken truck I drove in trucking school, I have never experienced those air ride seats

    I think the seats they use in the newer trucks are junk. A cheap memory foam pillow from K-mart seems to work better than the $60 gel pads.

    I ended up buying an aftermarket seat to put in the truck and the difference was night and day.

    I'm guessing the idea behind the beads is to allow air flow between you and the seat so you don't feel like you're sticking to it.
