Thanx. I HAD thought about them. But thought I called them before and needed experience. Which, I have a bit more of.

As far as equipment, everything I've seen, except ONE truck, was par with my truck - '99 International Day Cab. Mine just has nothing "air" about it.

Thanx again. I'll be giving them a call to touch base.

 

The wife wants to retire around there or Georgia. Unfortunately, we're not at that point yet. lol

That sounds like a good gig. Wish I could "help ya out" by helpin myself out heh.

Monday: Holiday. The company asked for volunteers for Monday "in case" work came in. I volunteered. No work Monday.

Tuesday: ON CALL

Wednesday: Load out to LI NY

Thursday (today): ON CALL

Friday: Who knows - hopefully a load so I get at least TWO loads out this week.

*sarcasm* - at this rate I'll be paying THEM to let ME work, in 2 weeks.




SO, I called Venezia today. I'm ineligible. Not enough experience and the DUI isn't 5 yrs old yet.

I also called my dist. manager and told him I'll be looking for part time work for Tues. and Thur.
At least he was cool with that and stated they would work around my schedule for the other company. Now, FINDING another company, that's the hard part. He also told me that in the 1st week of June they "have been told" several big jobs are opening up and it WILL pick up.

I've been pretty negative about things thus far, in regards to pay scale.

Well, THIS WEEK, has been completely opposite.
Been runnin the wheels off. lol

Better money too. Hopefully the weather will play along now and we can make that money!

Gotta update, keep it fair.

I've been workin like crazy. Things have picked up. I'm respected and treated kindly by the other drivers.

Have "upgraded" (sic) to two different trucks lately. Found out today that it's lookin like I'll be upgrading to one of the NEW Volvo's. I originally hated this idea, but, upon finding out that the best Internationals are still garbage, I'll take the Volvo because I'm gettin beat to death daily and it's startin to catch up to me and I'm losing an hour or two per day by driving the slower trucks.

I was against going into the Volvo because I'm new at driving and didn't want to get into the Automatic truck already.

IF I get into it I'll replace the pic I have now in my sig line.
