Cowling is more towards a large engine that needs air, literally to breathe. A Fairing would be a better term.
The presence of that fairing with a hole inside (Under) is something I will refuse to take to the border areas. People will get up in there. And if they are up there when you are stopped at Falifurras or wherever (San Antonio South) that's it for you.
To me that is a midroof truck, made to get into places where Condo trucks wont go. I like midroofs provided the floor inside being low enough to stand up. And you can take a flatbed into low places.
Also, the presence of the bolts up top holding the dam eventually becomes a source of noise as it rattles loose and a weather leaking issue for water intrusion etc. We usually do not own trucks that long and if we did, that fairing would be removed and tossed.
