There's a world of old time radio plays and audio books available on youtube for free that I'm fond of, and I use a downloader to put them on a drive of some sort for uninterrupted playing later (should my internet hotspot quit working while driving).

And as for all you guys who love Tucker Carlson, I instead get my own personal set of lies and propaganda straight from Radio Beijing - just to try and keep things 'fair and balanced'.

Sleep, eat and drink, for who knows what will happen tomorrow. If I'm not to tired I love watching comedy movies or just listening to comedians, after all laughter is great for the soul. My top five comedy movies to cheer me up are "At War with Grandpa" "Blended" "Mr Beans Holiday" "Ted" and "Home Alone" With comedians to listen to its a 5 way tie between Larry the Cable Guy, Russel Peters, Carl Barron, Fluffy, and Jeff Foxworthy.

Some companies pay for Sirius/XM in their trucks. They give fleet discounts, so its not costing anywhere near that amount. Our monthly bill is around $450 for a varying amount of drivers who request to subscribe in their truck, usually around 40 of them at any given point in time.
    Go Vols, indeed. GBO.
    What a coincidence...

Not exactly the same but maybe close enough to where it’s better than starting a new thread: there are these video podcasts (near as I can tell that’s a couple people talking, just that I can see them...) and they’re YouTube only. One guy does 2 hour vids. I’d like to listen but really don’t want a video playing on my phone—is there a good easy way to extract audio like that?

Well it’s very different depending on where you’re parked and what the environment is. If you’re at a shipper and receiver you’re more limited in what you can do to entertain yourself then if you’re at a truckstop for the evening and off duty. But if I’m at a shipper or receiver and I know it’s gonna be a while I might get out and take a walk, if there’s a place to grab a sandwich or something nearby I’ll walk to it. Now keep in mind you can’t do this at all places because some facilities are secure. Just depends. I’ll grab my dumbbells and get them out and do a few sets if the environment is OK for that, if I have time I’ll chop up stuff and throw it in a crockpot and make a stew or something. And if I’m tired, I’ll just get on my phone and search the Internet for meaningless and endless information that probably won’t change my life.
Now if I know I got a long break, like a reset or 15 hours or more, I might grab my E bike and take a ride and explore some different areas, maybe grab dinner out somewhere like a normal person. It’s OTR driving, we just have to adapt to whatever situation we’re in.

I found entertainment reading Solutions of what Drivers did for Entertainment whilst being Loaded/Unloaded, as well visiting a few Trucking Websites.

    Depending upon WEATHER:
I cleaned Windows In & Out.
Wiped off instrument Panel as well upper area since it was NEVER for "storage".
    Cleaned Floor (not floors).
    Shake out rugs.
Have a nap, maybe, not usually.
Read a book or magazine, not online.
Tripped Engine, Lights, Airlines, Brakes, Wheels, Tires.
If Trailer Dropped, maybe greased 5th (but not every time trailer dropped).
    Online activities usually.
When the C.B. was more popular, it WAS more entertaining.
Never had a t.v. after 2010. No Need with a Laptop.
Chat away with Wife or Trucking Friends.
    CHEERS!!

    Diesel73 and Boondock Thank this.
