Okay So here I go again. I am a owner operator out of Miami ,Fl . I am looking into a new company . They need an o/o to run a dedicated run , Miami to Chicago and back to Miami . I put my truck , tag , ifta , and other permits . They put insurance , authority , brand new 53 dry van and maintanece and the load of course. They give me a fuel car and free parking for my truck. They are paying 1.23 per mile loaded and empty. I will be running a dedicated load about 3000 miles weekly home about two days out of the week. What do you guys think. The company is smith cartage . Oh and I get a 1,000 dollars sign on bonus at the 90 day mark or 15,000 miles witch ever come first. Any input from the experts will be highly appreciated .They pay $50 per hour after 2 hours of detention . The pay me $50 for every dot inspection that my truck passes. They offer direct deposit also. They seem like a big company established in 1992 same name . My truck get almost 7.5 mpg and they let you run loose logs.
What do you guys think?

Does the $1.23 include FSC?

i would need a sliding scale fuel surcharge......what will you do if fuel goes to $6 a gallon?
how much of a discount with their fuel card ?
what about tolls ?
even schneider is paying .95 a mile with a .44 fuel surcharge right now which comes out to a $1.39 a mile and with their fuel card you will see at least a .20 a gallon fuel discount123456 Thanks this. -
Sorry forgot that part. 1.23 plus fsc .They have a 17% fsc. And they pay tolls. Fsc is reviewed every 2 weeks and adjusted accordingly . About the fuel card it's 8% less then what the pump says. But they charge 4% for the fuel advance
It's not the best but I am in Miami . It's hard to get a good stable outfit to run with and It's a dedicated run.
