Generally prefer kenworths. W900 and T680 are good trucks. They don’t turn as well as the freight shakers or Volvos but a good driver will find a way to get her done.

Amen on the petes. I learned what tool box to carry on these, routine little stuff. But I learned. And as such I loved them more than most trucks. Some drivers might not see it, but that nose in winter knows on ice. It does not take very much to get her back into line when you have enough wheelbase to do it.

However. My body has been beaten to death by Macks of all kinds in the 60's through the 90's frankly out of that pile of totaled macks, there were a couple that just showed fight at outrageous weights. I know that Mack has slipped a few times and probably have slipped again with the new trucks a little bit but certain ones in performance versus say a 400 big cam and 9 cabover did well upgrade. Make some time with it. One in particular a early 90's CH was ice school. It was a mountain mule that had very good footing on hills I was too scared to come down. It's not much of a truck but when it counted for that on time delivery up top of a big ridge in say Altoona it's all that mattered.

Other side of the coin, Ive learned certain trucks to hate. I don't hate them so much now that I learned some of the wretched history in books but these are not supportive of long term driver welfare and health. I would go as far as to say the arthritis or what the doctors think is rheumatism would related to that.
