DOT urine test is just for sugar / diabetes, has nothing to do with any drug testing.
Tall Mike, Gumboslef9384, Lite bug and 1 other person Thank this. -
Which substances are tested?
DOT drug tests require laboratory testing (49 CFR Part 40 Subpart F) for the following five classes of drugs:
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Opiates – opium and codeine derivatives
- Amphetamines and methamphetamines
- Phencyclidine – PCP
DOT alcohol tests identify alcohol concentration of 0.02 and greater. -
Zvar that is correct but that has nothing to do with a DOT physical urine test. A DOT physical I'm sure you know does not conduct a DOT drug test, that is completely separate, and although it may be done concurrently it has no bearing on the conduct or outcome of a DOT physical.

Do you have sugar? I've no clue what the threshold is for passing/ failing.
Some do it with a strip that changes color, I've had some inject it in a computercomp analyzer that does it to the ppm.
That's all the actual DOT physical is though.
The DOT drug test is a separate thing. And like has been stated, they may use the same sample for both, or do it separately.
On the DOT drug test, they test for drugs.
If you have any drugs, send them here care of TTR, and I will test them.snowlauncher, HoneyBadger67, blairandgretchen and 2 others Thank this. -

yes it does..depending on how high of a sugar content do you have at the results and who does it some small mom-and-pop places may not go as far as some of the bigger places like Concentra...but if it shows up on the strip is higher they can make you go get an A1C test or notate that blood sugar is a little high but if it's in passing it's okay but if your blood sugar is not right then they can give you a 90-day pass just like with blood pressure until it's checked.. -
