What does the expression "steering wheel holders" mean?

It means just a monkey in the seat. Mindset of "not my problem, I'm just the driver".

 

A steeringwheelholder is someone with just enough brain cells in operation to pass the dumbed down driving test. One they get their license, thats as far as it goes. They never improve. They hold the steering wheel and drive oblivious down the road.

When you look at the big pile up videos on YouTube, and you wonder in amazement why the keep going and smashing into each other, just remember that they are not drivers, they just hold the steering wheel and letvthe cattleprod do everything else.

 

Btw, the arch enemy of the steeringwheelholder is the supertrucker.

"Whats the difference between the two, Six?"

The supertrucker still has a working brain. He improves. He will run circles around a steeringwheelholder. But he's self centered and impatient.

 

I consider this term to be related to how [most all] truck drivers are regarded by those back at the office, especially at larger carriers with huge, chronic turnover rates.

Think .. disposable, cheap machines with a limited life expectancy.
