Down here a lot of folks leave the bulls out all year. When I was growing up I lived in Tx and the guy I worked for bred everything to start calving in March. He kicked the bulls out in June and then pulled them usually around the first of Sept. Around here most of the farmers might only have 10 to 15 cows. Some of the dairies around here milk 200-300 head, but most milk less than 100. I don't know much about the dairy cows, I've always had beef cattle or horned stock for roping and bulldogging.

It has to do with the date that the young need to be ready for market. i.e. shipping to a feed lot etc.

I thought they closed schools, government offices and all highways when someone drops an ice cube tray?

Not a tray. If you drop a bag, different story.

    Mine should be self explanatory.

But it has history as mine goes back almost 30 yrs.

I was known as the Hurstmeister as a kid,.. my first car was a 69 396 Chevelle 4spd car with a,.. you guessed it,.. Hurst shifter. Old Muncie 4 spd isnt exactly the smoothest transmission to power shift,.. but with the right finesse you can make music together.

Guys who had fast cars but couldnt shift used to get me to run their car to see what I could do at the track. 66 389 GTO with a cam and slicks. Buddy couldnt get better than mid 13's spinning out of the gate with a 2.2 60'. I'd jump in,.. 12.60 with 1.7 sec 60' on my first pass.

Here is an old Video. I still have this 93. Its torn down to just a shell right now. Going to go the resto-mod with an LSX based motor shooting for 1500hp this go around. Started with stock 5.0 shortblock making barely 320hp in this vid. Finally got it dialed in to 12.40's trapping 110-111 mph. Had more bark then bite back then,.. LOL

    Hense,.. fear tha Hurstmeister.

Started and ran my own small business ( nothing to do with trucking) for 30 years. Thought I would ride that into the sunset. Didn't happen that way so this is hopefully going to be my second act as far as my work life goes.

I used to live close by a good friend and after work it was a regular thing for me to walk to his house with a couple adult beverages. A guy that lived between us started too call me 2CAN as that's usually what I had in both hands

I was a gunners mate in the navy and the QUAD 40 was the type of gun mount my crew and I operated while in the rivers in viet nam. I've worked on a lot of different firearms in my time, but those 40mm's firing right next to you really get your adrenaline pumping. Big guns and big trucks. Gotta love it!!

New Chavo=new kid or new dude. Even though I'm 50 I thought since I was new to trucking I would use it.

SALLY. When I first was driving I was much slower than the other guys. When driving I was following, and on the radio they would say lets go Sally. Dont be a Sally. Where you at Sally slacker. All in good fun. Now its also another way of saying someone cant do the job or cant keep up. "He's a Sally"
