379 Pete with 70" sleeper, 272" wb,C-15 18 speed, all alum rims, 2 extra Pete tool boxes, 2 150 gal tanks, and I weigh in around 22,000. But, I care enough tools around that if the world stopped moving, I could fix it.

I just about could as well. Worst I've had to do so far was replace a blown turbo on a C12, to drop a driveshaft on the T800, and replace a water pump on the ISX. Fixed them all in parking lots with hand tools. Would be nice to have a few air tools along.

Back when I pulled tankers I used the air compressor on the engine to air off tankers. It was a 4 piston Bendix compressor. The truck I have now was spec out to pulll a tanker and has a BIG 2 piston Bindix, when this one kicks in while going down the road it sounds like a pony motor has fired up. lol

Also I am taking 60 pounds off the truck this week. OEM mufflers weigh in at 60 pounds, the Pittsburg Power mufflers are 30 pounds

Because we transport mostly base oil, and synthetic oils, by mutal agreement, the shippers, and consigners will not allow us to use an engine mounted compressor. The carrier actually discouraged me from replacing my Bendix with a larger unit such as the bigger Bendix you have. If my compressor does go out, I will put one though, we do sometimes transport products that it would be allowed. Even though I have always used plant air, it's nice to have that option, just in case. I bought a "package setup" from another driver when he retired- two PTOs, and shafts, one product pump, a large Quincy air compressor, both mounting platforms, etc. Installing the hydra pac, will give me the option to run either unit with just one PTO.
The only drawback, is the weight of the platform, and compressor. Looking back at the times I could have used it in the past 13 months, (maybe twice), it's kind of hard to justify the add on.

I too am fixing to pull the two "cat style" mufflers off my truck, but I will be replacing them with two of the large oval undercab factory style "pre cat" units. Hoping that the switch will be a wash, as far as the weight, but afraid I may gain a bit.

The oval mufflers are MUCH lighter. By maybe as much as half. The straps might not be long enough, and the mounting brackets are different, but I think they'll fit.

Hate to be picky but then you'd be taking off 30 lbs.
