What ELD do you use?

Samsara seemed to work fine for me. Used it in oil field.
KeepTrucking has been very good. In the beginning. I had some issues. It is a company unit with dash cam and all. I called support. I got a guy giving me deceiving excuses. I asked my safety person. Who was also on charge of these. She came back with a man’s name and number. I sat in a lot one afternoon. He got it all straightened out. He told me if anything else. Call him and only him.
I’m very happy with keeptrucking. I’ve used a few of them.
Really liked when Ca. DOT asked for my logs at the port of entry. I handed her my iPad. She said: “oh, keeptrucking on an iPad…. Nice!”

 

Before retiring in 2011 , my company was using the XATA machine.

Imho , they are a good thing for the industry.

Not only did they help keep drivers honest , they helped to keep the 100mph dispatchers under control.

Just an opinion though , not looking for an argument.

Only had issue with 1 DOT officer. It was an early morning and I guess he was bored. I showed all the info he requested and it was obvious I was legal.

He kept saying but "you" could have put all that info in yourself.

Lol he finally let me ride.
