I've seen some scary showers in my day. When I used to run coast to coast there was some places in the south that looked like they where still waiting for recontruction money from the war of northern aggression to roll in, and while I'm not that picky about showers, I don't like the floors to be darker than a pail of black paint in a cave in the middle of the night with some kind of mold and/or other "stuff" that may or may not be a lifeform from another time or place.
As for the "sissy" talk, it sounds like another Billy Bigrigger bought a magical wiz-bang box from Pilot and learned that not only can he talk big on channel 19 on his CB, but he can act tough on the internet too. As a former Medical Worker, I can tell you there is nothing wrong with being a "sissy" about some of the things you can get. Scabies sounds like fun? Jungle rot is also good. I'm lucky, I lived in a rain forest for most of my life, and with the toxic junk my blood picked up working around homeless people, I don't get skin rot. Also if you take a wizz in the shower before you turn on the water and get it, that also kills some of the junk in the shower.
Petros seem to be having some of the better showers out there now, and the other end, Pilots. The truckstop across from the Pilot at Tumwater WA has some scary showers, but they work. Cee Gee's down at 58 in WA on I-5 has nice showers, but the food is getting scary.
What facilities can I expect from a typical truck stop?
