Knight was very anti day cab when I was there years ago. They said day cab operations were to expensive. Cheaper to use OTR drivers for short stuff. Knight ran a tighter ship then Swift ( I drove for both) Knight are crooks and con artists. Swift May be cheap but they won’t beat you out of money they actually owe you like the crooks at Knight.
What happened to the Swift Shuttle?

Well maybe that explains it. If Knight is anti day cab, maybe the Swift shuttles are running sleepers now.
-
I have seen some of the local drivers out of jurupa terminal take sleepers
-
I wondered the same thing. I see a LOT of Swift sleepers every day.
-
Because they basically don't pay OTR for local stuff so of course it's cheaper.
-
Evidence seems to point that direction. I called up one of my contacts at the Troutdale terminal, and that's what happened there. Probably something to do with cost, considering what Swift's policies say they have to do if a day cab driver can't get back to the terminal before they run out of hours...

Yep ... I worked for both companies and Knight is cheaper than Swift.Team818 Thanks this.
