that is so cool... anyone wanting to go..?? hurry up and get the hell off my planet earth. @Chinatown , you had better start looking for trucking jobs up there, you know you're gonna get bombarded sooner or later....
I remember an old terraforming idea was to anchor to a big asteroid and move it into a collision course with Mars. Guess they gave up on that idea lol. Issue with Mars is that it's core is not producing a magnetic shield capable of blocking solar rays so any life would be under constant solar radiation. The best bet to get oxygen to start is to engineer a type of moss that can grow at low temp/low moisture. As it spreads it will slowly produce a layer of o2 for small insects to survive and then more larger plants can be transplanted over. They speculate that Mars might of had life like Earth before losing its ozone layer and shield. If that's the case then there should be coal/oil deposits on the surface that can be used to pump tons and tons of gas into the atmosphere and raise the temperature. A green Mars is beyond our lifespans due to how long the process will take but we should all be alive to see the first permanent base set up on Mars at least. First person on Mars is obligated to say the old quote - that's one small step for man and one giant step for mankind.
I vote we tell the politicians there's a vested interest in the United States government being established on Mars, and then we get them to Mars and "accidentally" leave them behind........
Nah they'll figure out how to preserve us and we can avoid the nuclear holocaust of earth and awake in the Mars base, year 2200........They'll need truckers for transporting between depots and the base.....
Yes, green moss has been discussed with scientists. Seems the best for adapting to Mars and producing oxygen.
Humanity's Future Is That Humanity Will Be Present, and Bring The Usual "Wants & Needs" To Equal "Wherever You Go, There You Are". This 2 Seasons Show (With A 3rd?) Was Very Predictable and Proved It In The 2nd Season! Mars Season 3 Release Date on Nat Geo? Renewal Status and News - - - - Space Truckers It Was Fun On The First Go Round. GLAD There Was No Second Part. I Liked The First Season Of Space Force. The Second Was Worse, and There Might Be A Third.
