I don't know much about autos but it seems to me a stick and a clutch pedal should be a lot less money than an electronic shift box, inertia brake, all the harnesses and selector box and so on and so forth. They're most likely pushing them on the industry so they can make money on the parts and repair.I don't care what anyone says,a good driver will outdrive a computer any day and twice on Friday, lol.
Which is a total friggin crock because when they first came out autos were a more expensive option. now they’re up charging for manuals on top of the auto up charge? Do you think they lowered the price of the truck with standard auto? Nope. Being stupid and lazy aint cheap
how do you not fall asleep driving an auto?
Those trucks that rear end those 4 wheelers and such. Yep auto drivers. Look it up
Thats ok. Freightliner (and every other manufacturer) lost my business with the emissions mandates. Gliders from here on out for me.
nice try? exactly what am I "trying"? you must be one hell of a driver to never have missed a basement gear on a steep offroad hill. or maybe you've never been in that situation....
Seemed you’re trying to get me to bad mouth the driveline on an auto when the real problem is all the sensors, computers and crap that tell the driveline what to do. I guess I must be a helluva driver then. There’s 1.2 million miles on my 13 with zero trans work. Goodness knows how many miles on the 15 in my 86 Pete. 10-15 years ago I was just normal but there’s a lot of garbage drivers out there these days do I think everyone around me is just getting worse
