If memory serves Thoeni's book was entitled "The Racer's Edge" or something like that. It was required reading to work under the Ski School Director at the time.

Other than the 165cm part, I don't even know what the rest of that means. Lol I assume it has something to do with the waist width versus tip width? I demoed a pair last year. Supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. No camber, the tip and tail were terribly soft, and I felt as if I would fall over forward if I cranked on them to turn. I did finally just stand in the middle and got along okay I guess, but I was tempted to pull out the cruisers.

A prime example of the phrase: "Always looking for the main chance".

Maybe we ought to kidnap @Lilbow and head to Targhee one of these weekends to see if we can make it from the top to the bier stube?

The year before the kids that live in Seattle area were here for Christmas, and we all went up to Targhee. All the kids ski a bit, and we have fun. The oldest daughter's husband however does not enjoy our company evidently, because during one of his numerous yard sales that day out in the crud, and while offering to help him gather up his belongings, he uttered some rather unattractive verbiage at us.

I should add, and as a testament to my poor character, I took great pleasure each and every time he bit the dust. After all, he had skied in Switzerland and made sure we all knew it prior to hitting the slopes that day!

You can try and keep up with the youngster, I’ll roll over and play dead before we even start— but I am confident that what goes up will come down however ugly it might be

Leaks will probably be proportional to the number of lower left background canned liquid involved during preparation. You sure those old ones were bad?

It will darken a little when I oil it, and it will darken as it ages. Tibbit requested a light brown and I dyed it to that shade. I could dye it just about any color or shade you can dream of with the proper dyes.

I’d like to see a picture of it a couple years from now — he sweats through it a couple times and gets a little blood, sweat and tears on it, it’ll be nice a broke in and beautiful
