Im unaware of any book (1978)Gustavo Thoeni wrote. You are use to skiing traditional cambered skis. They put you on rocketed soft powder skis,it's the rage for recreational skiers. Its easy to skid them. Cambered skis want to carve not skid. My 165cm are what the WC guys ski on Federation International Ski
    (FIS).

Risky... Scrape with a putty knife, use half a bottle of shellac on both sides of the gasket. Slap it together and call it good.
On the hoses... Swab the inside of the hose end with shellac and slide it on. First up to op temp will cure it nicely, can then remove the clamp.
Won't ever be able to remove the hose, but, you are gonna keep the truck anyway. Right?

Capitalism. Making the most of opportunities as they appear. Why you are prospering right now.
An old slogan... Don't be a baby, ##### and whine,
Get your dollar, like I got mine.

Lots of head scratching, interpreting foreign instruction, squinting at numbers on the board upside down, but a great feeling of accomplishment when she boots.
