My thoughts go out to all those who are in Missouri on I-44. Truckers and four-wheelers alike.

I know. Hence my response. But to be honest, I really am the loner type. Rather be by myself playing video games or watching movies. Just not much of a people person. Other than necessary of course.

Reminds me of one our guys running chains on i-94 in WI a few years ago. Couldn't understand why he was doing 50 mph until we rolled past and saw the chains. I had my guy back off and I yelled out the window for the guy to hit the next exit. Turns out he had 6 months witu CRE and SNI hired him as "experienced".
In GB this morning there is no snow on the ground , no precipitation of any kind. However on my pov drive to the yard (6 miles), 3 miles to live unload, 1 mile to live load, and 6 miles home there were 4 cars in ditches, 3 accidents and I darn near fell on my tush because of black ice. Who's afraid of snow?Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -

Ahhh. Ok, I see. So, which side am I on? Dave's side or the wrong side? I would rather be neutral. -
I-74 through IL is a slide-off/jack-knife fest today... I woke up to 2 inches of snow on my hood in Crawfordsville, IN this morning and it just got worse from there.
Was a truck roll over on the WB side at IL yard stick 209... I got a heads up on the CB and got off at the 215, to go around it via 150 to get back on at the 206. I could hear the guys that were stuck in the backup saying they had been there nearly an hour. I think IHP started diverting traffic off where I got off a few mins after I got off... At least thats what I could hear on the CB.
A few miles before I entered IL the was a jack-knifed truck blocking most of the EB side. Must have just happened cause there wasnt hardly any backup and no cops yet.
And I lost count of how many other trucks I seen off in the ditch in various states of disarray. Dozens of 4 wheelers in the ditch as well.
Nearly 6 hours after I started this morning I'm in Walcott, IA... I averaged 49 mph. Alot of the road in Eastern IL had yet to be plowed or sanded when I came across it.
Safe travels to anyone headed into that mess.Lepton1, Dave_in_AZ, Accidental Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
